Our Denix and Armaduras Medievales Medieval Armor, Fantasy Swords, Daggers and Replica Weapon line are handmade by dedicated skilled Craftsman. Our line of Replica Medieval Weapons, are some of the finest made on the market today. These Medieval Swords and Shields, Scottish Targes, Battle Axes and Dagger lines are non-functional Medieval Weapons and are intended for display and decoration only.
The Sword and Shield combination was a favorite weapon of Medieval
Knights and Men-at-arms. These Warriors would "hide" protected behind their Medieval
Shield to deflect the opponents Flail, Mace, Sword or Battle Axe. Then they would slash with one of their many Medieval Weapons.
Denix and Armaduras Medievales has replicated a selection of notable Targes and Heater Shields from history and they are shown on the following pages.

Inveraray Targe
Made for the re-enactor and decorator, the Inveraray Targe replicates a piece dating to the '45 Jacobite rising. Construction is tooled leather over wood with a goatskin backing and brass decorations. A traditonal spike screws into the central boss, with a spike sheath attached to the back of the targe. The arm strap and hand grip are leather covered. Like the original, the targe is about 19" in diameter. Our 2048-GT table stand is built to display the targe and one or two basket hilt swords.

Armaduras Shield of Charles V
This ornate, full sized shield by Armaduras bears the seal of Charles V of Spain. Crafted in Toledo, Spain, the shield is made in burnished steel with bronzed embossing. The piece is equipped for wall hanging and is complete with a back-mounted bracket that allows one or two swords to be fixed behind the shield for an outstanding wall display.

Painted Armaduras Shield of Cherlemagne
This ornate, full sized shield by Armaduras bears the Fleur-de-Lys crest of Charlemagne, ruler of the Holy Roman Empire, mounted over the blue cross of Lorraine. Crafted in Toledo, Spain, the shield is made in burnished steel with bronzed embossing and antique-finish paint decoration. The piece is equipped for wall hanging and is complete with a back-mounted bracket that allows one or two swords to be fixed behind the shield for an outstanding wall display.
