Denix Italan Crossbow - 16th Century
Medieval and Renaissance crossbows ranged from tremendously powerful military weapons, capable of firing a bolt over half a mile, to hunting and target bows which were much lighter and very accurate. This replica by Denix is of an Italian hunting crossbow from around 1600, which was loaded by putting a foot in the stirrup and drawing back the string with both hands. These crossbow replicas are not capable of being fired, making them safe for family environments. Excellent display and conversation pieces.
